I have taken many VR panoramas in various locations, both indoors and outdoors. If you are looking for a particular example, please talk to me. There are a number of possibilities:
180° panoramas provide a view of what is in front and to the sides of the viewer.
360° panoramas provide an all round view at the same level. This is like spinning around keeping your eyes looking parallel to the ground so you will see the walls and the edges of the ceiling and floor for indoor images.
360°x180° panoramas provide a spherical view so you can see in any direction horizontally and up and down. This will enable you to view both the floor and ceiling for indoor images as well as everything in between.
Note that, although the Adobe Flash-plugin is required to view the examples below, this is already installed in 90% of internet browsers.
